1145 Hours, May 3, 2530(Military calendar)
unknown system, unknown planet, Ko-wahi

Chris was on board the transport preparing to exit when they land near the village. When he looked out the window he could only see the blizzard outside. He sighed and said “how can anyone live in a place like this?”
“Its for our protection.” a voice called out from behind Chris. He turned around to see the Matoran guide, he had white armor and a mask that made one eye look like a telescope. “it keeps us safe from outsiders who might want to cause us harm.”
“A little snow is not going to stop the Covenant,” Chris said, “its only going to make our job harder, how the hell are we going to find this damn village anyway?”
the Matoran was not familiar with human profanity and did not react to what he said in the way most young humans would, “we have red flags making a path, when we are standing at one the next flag will be at the edge of our vision, we follow those to the village and get Kopaka, our Toa, to stop the storm.”
“So he made this storm? What, is he not a fan of guests?”
“He just wants to keep us safe, its hard to attack a place you cant see right?”
“it also limits transportation and trade, how do you get from this village to any other vilage?”
“We have a few tuneless and access ways, tho they are small and are not designed for large amounts of Matoran traveling at one time.”
Chris was working on getting extra layers of clothing on so that he would not freeze outside, “then were sticking to the plan.” as he was looking for what weapons to carry, he sighed at the fact that he cant carry a sniper riffle because of the short viability and he doubted its thermal scanners on the scope would help concertinaing the Matoran and Toa were mostly metal, 'do there organic parts give of heat? And how the hell does the cold metal not give there organic parts freezer burn?' He just shook his head and picked up a Shotgun and an Assault riffle.
In a few minutes they landed, the pilot said, “we'll wait hear until you can get this Kopaka guy to stop the storm” over the radio.
Chris closed the hatch behind him as he entered what would normally be like an air lock, but in this case it would help keep the cold from getting in the ship. He oppend the outer door and was immediately hit with a blast of cold air from outside. He quickly ran out with the Matoran following him and closed the hatch, “do you see one of those flags?”
The Matoran looked around and points in the distance, “yes, right there.” He starts walking in that direction and Chris followed.
After what felt like hours they still had no luck finding the Village. His clock on his helmets heads up display only said they had only been looking for half an hour. He was growing more inpatient by the second. “were never going to find this place!” he yells out.
“Keep faith” the Matoran said, “we will find it, Mata-Nui has not abandoned us.”
Chris just sighed, 'thats the last thing I need' he thought to himself 'a half robot who believes in a god.' “Like I told all the religious nuts from back home, I don’t believe in any god, not even this 'Mata-Nui' person
The matoran was shocked, “what? But Mata-Nui brought us to this island home we named Mata-Nui in honor of him, he taught us the three virtues, Unity, Duty, and Destiny.”
“Yeah? Well back home there are meany different groups of people that have different beliefs. My people know that there are two possibilitys, that only one of them is true, or that none of them are true, im in the second group.”
The Matoran was shocked by all he had heard, “how can you all work together if you all have different beliefs like that?”
“Coming from the one who lives in color coded villages” he said in a joking tone, “to answer your question its simple, we dont talk about it, no matter what we believe in we all agree to not shove it down each others throats and were all happy, well, not all of us, but its better then nothing.”
the Matoran just shook his head, “your people are strange.” he quickly looked around, then gasped, “i dont see any of the flags anymore.”
“Shit!” Chris tried his best to stay calm as he looked around fast, “do we have a backup plan?”
“No” the Matoran replied, “the winds erased our tracks, our only hope is to walk in one direction and hope we find a flag”, he soon picks a direction and starts walking.
After a few moments of walking a strange sword came into there vision and stoped right infront of Chris, almost as if it was blocking him, he quickly reacted by raising his shotgun but the Matoran stopped him, “wait, don’t! Thats Kopakas sword.”
He lowered the shotgun but keeped it ready just in case.
The sword left there vision for a wile and then the storm vanished in seconds and he saw that he was about to walk off a cliff. He gasps and quickly backs up. He looks to Kopaka. He had armor simmler to Gali only not as thin, most likely because he is a male. His mask looked like the matorans mask but upgraded in meany ways. But the thing that stood out for him was his weapons. To say they were impractical was an understatement, they looked more like the blades on the bottom of ice skates. Tho triangles are known to be a really strong shape for bridges so who knows, it might work for swords to, but he still doubted it. “Toa Kopacka?”
“Yes, what are you doing hear?”, he spoke in a monotone, almost emotionless voice witch is what he expected a robots voice to be, but only he spoke like this.
“I'm Sergeant Chris Andrews of the UNSC” this techicly was not true because like all the others from the Militia, they never actually joined, but he figured that at this point it really did not matter. “I have a message from Turaga Nokama” he hands him the stone tablet.
Kopacka took the tablet and closely examined it with his telescope eye, it zoomed in to it. He is not as over protective as Tahu, but he does not like to take risks, “alright, you will be able to see the village now, be quick.” and just like that his mask changed into an entirely different one and he speed away.
Chris only gasps at this, but shakes it off, “we need to move” he turned around to see that the transport was not that far away, he was thankful for that and gave the pilot the instructions. It took about 20 minutes to get everyone on board and took anything that was important to take with them.
Once they took off the vilages Turaga walked up to him, but instead of speaking like the others did, he made a bunch of strange clicking sounds, almost like a bird. Chris just looked at him confused.
Another Matoran quickly walked up to them, “Turaga Nuju only speeks in the sounds of flying Rahi, im his translator, Matoro. He wishes to thank you for helping us in what could have been our final hours.”
Chris nodded to him, “your welcome. The other villages are being evacuated and transported to Oun-Koro, we will all regroup there and prepare for a counter offensive against the Covenant who are already in battle with our men at Ga-Koro.”
Nuju responded with a few more clicks and other bird like sounds, then Maroro said “then we better get there fast.”
“This ship will make it so, just sit down and relax for a little bit.” Chris then went to the transports armory to return the guns and winter layers of the armor.
so hear is chapter 20, they head to Ko-Koro and face a massive blizzard

oh you should definatly have a chapter where in Mangaia lair, Makuta is feeling threatened that his plan is in jeopardy because of the UNSC and the Covenant, and ponders what he should do next even going so far to think to forge a temporary alliance with the Toa and their villages, and also where a turaga has a conversation with chris about the nature of Mata-Nui how he is not a god (though close to it) and how they feel slightly ashamed that in a sense they lied. like how the prophets manipulate the other species with faith but also counter to say that they would never ask the matoran to kill off entire races just in the name of their Great spirit.
